Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 March 2026

01

About the service

Synqboard is a free tool operated as a personal side project by the individual behind qevalon.com. By accessing or using Synqboard you agree to these Terms.
02

Nature of the service

Synqboard is provided free of charge as a personal project. There is no company or legal entity behind it — it is maintained by a single individual alongside other work. The service is not a commercial product.
03

No guarantees

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including availability, reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice or liability.
04

Limitation of liability

The operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including data loss, service interruptions, or unauthorized access. You use Synqboard at your own risk.
05

Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • — use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • — attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure
  • — abuse resources through automated scraping or excessive API calls
  • — interfere with the service for other users
The operator reserves the right to suspend access for violations without notice.
06

Your account & Google OAuth

Synqboard uses Google OAuth for authentication — there are no passwords stored. You are responsible for the security of your Google account. The operator is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
07

Google Calendar access

By signing in you grant Synqboard read access to your Google Calendar events. This access is used solely to populate your board and is governed by the Google API Services User Data Policy. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account settings.
08

Intellectual property

The Synqboard name, design, and branding are the property of the operator. You retain full ownership of your data — calendar events, notes, and uploaded photos.
09

Third-party services

  • Google LLC — OAuth and Calendar API. Subject to Google's own Terms of Service.
  • Hetzner Online GmbH — server and storage infrastructure in Germany.
The operator is not responsible for the terms or practices of these services.
10

Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Austrian law. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Austrian courts.
